The federal carbon charge for natural gas is increasing on April 1, 2024
March 25, 2024As part of the federal government’s Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act, a carbon pricing program was implemented in Ontario in 2019. The program introduced a carbon charge applied to fossil fuels sold in Ontario, including natural gas. This charge increases annually each April.

Sewer cross bores: call before clearing a sewer line
February 23, 2024Natural gas lines can sometimes intersect with sewer lines beyond the outside wall of your home or building, which is known as a cross bore. In these cases, clearing a blocked sewer line with motorized or water-jetting equipment could damage the natural gas line and lead to a gas leak, creating an immediate safety risk for you and others.
