Payment's frequently asked questions
Utilities Kingston accepts payments via MasterCard and Visa using a third-party service provider, Paymentus. Paymentus charges a fee of 1.75 per cent of the payment amount for each individual payment of up to $2,500. The fee covers payment handling and processing charges and Utilities Kingston does not receive any part of the service fee.

When paying online, you can verify the security of the third party, Paymentus, by viewing the payment screen where you will see an icon displaying a lock and indicating the site is secured by ‘thawte’, Paymentus encryption security provider.
Paymentus is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 compliant and certified, which is the highest level attainable. The PCI DDS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.
