Yes, Paymentus offer a 24-hour service for payments by credit card.

You may use MasterCard and Visa credit cards to pay your account.

Have your credit card and your Utilities Kingston bill ready. You will need to provide your account number and the amount to pay. If you are paying online you will also need to provide your e-mail address so that details of your transaction can be sent to you on completing your payment.

When the payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation number. If your payment has been made online, you will also receive an e-mail receipt documenting the service fee from the third-party provider, Paymentus Corporation, and the bill payment amount paid to Utilities Kingston.

Your statement will have two entries. One will be for the payment to Utilities Kingston and the other will be your service fee payment to Paymentus Corporation.

When paying online, you can verify the security of the third party, Paymentus, by viewing the payment screen where you will see an icon displaying a lock and indicating the site is secured by ‘thawte’, Paymentus encryption security provider.

Paymentus is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 compliant and certified, which is the highest level attainable. The PCI DDS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.

Paymentus charges a fee to use their services. The fee covers payment handling and processing charges.

Utilities Kingston does not receive any part of the service fee. Paymentus is an independent company providing a service for Utilities Kingston.

The fees are 1.75% of the payment amount for each individual payment of up to $2,500.

There is a maximum amount of $2,500 per payment. However, multiple payments can be made and there is no limit on how many payments can be made.
