Summer Student Program

Developing the next generation of skilled workers in Kingston is important to us. That’s why we offer students the opportunity to enrich their academic studies by learning practical skills from some of the best in the utility industry. Students are provided with insight into the utility industry and the opportunity to grow professionally while earning a competitive wage.

Summer students are expected to work 40 hours a week. The start and end times vary by department or group. If you are interested in the working hours for a specific department or group, please reach out to hruk@utilitieskingston.com.

We allow students to gain hands-on experience and develop skills for the post-education workforce in multiple departments and groups. Over the years, Utilities Kingston has provided part-time opportunities throughout the school year for students (in certain departments and groups) and has hired many former summer students full-time.
