Natural gas rates for August 1
Utilities Kingston has reviewed the rates for the natural gas commodity and transportation and storage.
Effective August 1, 2024:
- The commodity price for natural gas will remain at $0.1663 $/m3
- The transportation & storage price for natural gas will decrease by -$0.0062 $/m3 to $0.0587 $/m3
The overall effect of the price changes will decrease a typical residential bill (2300m3 annually) by an estimated $14.26 annually.
Utilities Kingston reviews its natural gas commodity and transportation and storage rates quarterly. Rates are adjusted to make up for the difference between forecast costs and actual costs from prior periods. The next review will take place on November 1.
