Boil water advisory lifted for Westbrook area residents

We are pleased to inform you that the boil water advisory issued for the Westbrook area has been lifted. The water main break was successfully repaired on July 8, and water quality tests confirmed the water is safe and meets strict water quality standards.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. As always, your safety and well-being remain our top priorities.

As per Ontario Regulation 170/03, this boil water advisory is lifted by KFL&A Public Health, in consultation with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, and Utilities Kingston.

What to do after a boil water advisory is lifted:

  •        Run cold water faucets for one minute before using the water.
  •        Run drinking fountains for one minute before using the water.
  •        Flush all garden hoses by running cold water through them for five minutes.
  •        Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
  •        Drain and refill water heaters set below 45°C (normal setting is 60°C). (confirm with service advisors)
