Update: Power was restored at approximately 5:15 p.m. 

We’re currently addressing a power outage affecting approximately 650 electric customers in Barriefield Village and the Fort Frontenac area. 

The outage was caused by an equipment failure at the substation that supplies power to the entire area. 

Estimated time for restoration: 5:30 p.m.
