The latter includes transmission to and distribution throughout Central Kingston. Kingston Hydro retains part of this delivery portion of the bill and uses it to maintain and upgrade local infrastructure.

Electricity: Time-of-Use Schedules and Rates Change Nov. 1
October 24, 2013On November 1, both the schedule and rates for Time-of-use electricity pricing are set to change. In addition to the schedule changes that occur each May and November, the Ontario Energy Board is adjusting electricity prices to accommodate the rising costs of electricity generation and to account for variation between previous estimates and actual costs.

Blocked Sewer Line? Stay Safe, Call Before You Clear
October 7, 2013Natural gas lines can sometimes intersect with sewer lines. When this happens it is known as a sewer cross bore. When left undisturbed, sewer cross bores do not present a safety risk. If you have a blocked sewer line beyond the outside wall of your building, your attempt to clear it could damage the gas line, causing natural gas to leak into your home or building.
