Employees Kick off United Way Campaign

The employees of Utilities Kingston are pleased to support the United Way in building and strengthening our community.

United Way of KFL&A works to strengthen lives by bringing together the financial resources of the region – business, labour, individuals, government and funders – in support of a network of social service and health agencies. Through these agencies and their programs, people find help and in many cases, opportunity for a better life. In 2012, eighty percent of funds were raised through workplace campaigns at over 400 sites across KFL&A.

On September 13, 2013, over 200 Utilities Kingston employees kicked off the workplace campaign with assistance from Geoff Coons, Campaign Director for the United Way and Judy Glen, Executive Director of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston, who joined Richard Rodrigue, campaign coordinator on behalf of the employees of Utilities Kingston.

At the event, employees also received the Bronze Award for 2012, which recognizes employee participation of at least 50 per cent. The award was received for the ninth time and highlights our continuous commitment to the community.
