June 14, 2022We want the community to be aware that seasonal watering restrictions are in effect from June 15 to Sept. 15. Residents and businesses with odd-numbered civic addresses may water on odd-numbered days, while evens may water on even-numbered days.

Sewer force main break repaired and sewer operating normally
June 11, 2022Utilities Kingston is thanking west end residents and businesses for conserving water and reducing sewer use, after a sewer force main break at Front and Days Road. Crews have repaired the sewer break, which was at a flange fitting on a large diameter, 36-inch force main, and the sewer is now operating under normal conditions.

June 10, 2022Utilities Kingston is asking residents in the west end to continue conserving water and reducing sewer use, after a sewer force main break on Days Road. Crews uncovered the source of the sewer break, which is a blow-out on the elbow of a large diameter, 36-inch force main.

While the sewer break is contained and there is no immediate risk of basement flooding or other direct public safety risk, the situation could change quickly.

Natural gas maintenance taking place June 14 at regulating station
June 8, 2022On Tuesday, June 14, we are conducting valve repair at the municipal City Gate natural gas regulating station (located on Perth Road, just south of Unity Road). Our certified technicians will be onsite to ensure public and worker safety and we anticipate this work will be completed in one day.
