January 6, 2023January 8, 1998, was a day most people in Kingston will probably never forget. That was the first full day of the so-called 'Storm of the Century' for Kingston, an ice storm that decimated parts of the northern United States, Maritimes, Quebec and eastern Ontario, including Kingston and Ottawa.

Electricity prices, periods and tiers for November 1
October 27, 2022The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) announced that electricity prices for households and small businesses will be lowered as of November 1, 2022 under the Regulated Price Plan (RPP). The winter Time-of-Use (TOU) hours and the change in the threshold for residential customers on Tiered pricing will take effect November 1 as usual.

June 11, 2022Utilities Kingston is thanking west end residents and businesses for conserving water and reducing sewer use, after a sewer force main break at Front and Days Road. Crews have repaired the sewer break, which was at a flange fitting on a large diameter, 36-inch force main, and the sewer is now operating under normal conditions.
