During this work, residents may notice discoloured tap water or reduced water pressure and should be assured the water is still safe. They should run their cold water tap until it is clear.

Typically, our gravity system, water pumps and regular hydrant flushing program do this job well. In some areas, a little more help is needed to keep the water moving. Twice annually, Utilities Kingston flushes dead-end water mains.

Westbrook water main repair, Aug. 30, 2020
September 4, 2020On Aug. 30, 2020, we experienced a water main break at the corner of Westbrook and Woodbine Roads. Approximately 500 homes and businesses in the Westbrook area were impacted by a water outage, and crews worked quickly to repair the main and restore water services to our customers.
