Victoria Street Water and Sanitary Sewer Reconstruction

Project background

Utilities Kingston intends to reconstruct the existing sanitary sewer and water mains on Victoria Street, from Princess Street to Concession Street.

A public information session was scheduled on August 21, 2019 at the Kingston Memorial Centre.  Staff from the Utilities Kingston engineering department were on-hand to share information on the work and answered questions from the public regarding the watermain and sanitary sewer construction on Victoria Street (Princess Street to Concession Street).

Design and Construction

Utilities Kingston is has awarded the construction contract to Len Corcoran Excavating  Ltd. Properties in the immediate construction area will be sent a letter prior to construction commencing identifying the contractor contact information and the start date for construction.

Reconstruction work for this project is anticipated to start Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the intersection of Princess Street and Victoria Street.  The anticipated completion date of this project is Spring 2020.  Please note that these timeframes are only projected and are subject to change due to inclement weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances. All construction work will be strictly confined to the road right-of-way.
