Bath Rd. Sewer Capacity Upgrades

Bath Rd. Sewer Capacity Upgrades

Project background

The sewer capacity in the area of Bath Rd. and Centennial Dr. has been identified as in need of sewer capacity upgrades.   Utilities Kingston has performed capacity studies, and condition assessment work on existing assets in the Bath Rd corridor. The resulting recommendations include replacement of existing sewer force-main which was originally installed in the 1960s.  The project also includes replacement of the gravity sewer from Centennial Drive westerly to Little Cataraqui Creek.

Planning

The project will include sewer design and capacity analysis relative to the known developments anticipated for this area.    Planning of construction work is in the very early stages and will include coordination with The City of Kingston.  It is generally expected that construction will include approximately 1km of open cut trenching to install new high density polyethylene sewer force-main.
