Electricity rate relief begins Jan. 18 for 21-day period
January 17, 2022To support small businesses, as well as workers and families spending more time at home while the province is in Modified Step Two, the Ontario government has announced that electricity prices will be held to a fixed rate of 8.2¢/kWh for all time-of-use and tiered customers on a temporary basis starting on January 18, 2022.

In the summer period (May 1 – October 31), the Tier threshold for residential customers is 600 kWh. The Tier threshold for small business customers is 750 kWh all year round.

October 28, 2021The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) announced today that electricity prices for households and small businesses will not change as of November 1, 2021 under the Regulated Price Plan.
