Boil water advisory for Cana area residents
A boil water advisory is now in effect in the Cana area (Northern Kingston) due to a technical issue that affected the Cana Water Treatment Plant system.
Approximately 35 residents are affected. If you’re impacted, you will receive a notification letter informing you of the boil water advisory.
The water treatment plant has resumed normal operations. However, for safety reasons, a boil water advisory has been issued and will remain in effect until further notice. Updates will be published on our website, and impacted residents will receive a letter advising them when the boil water advisory is lifted.
As per Ontario Regulation 170/03, this boil water advisory is issued by KFL&A Public Health in consultation with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, and Utilities Kingston.
