Close Residential Account

To close an existing Utilities Kingston residential account, please complete this form. When finished, click the "Submit" button located at the bottom of the form.

To close a commercial account, contact customer service at 613-546-0000. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Customers must provide access to meter(s) for final reading(s) up to seven days prior to final billing when closing an account.

If you are moving within Ontario and currently receive an Ontario Electricity Support Program credit on your electricity bill, you will need to reapply to receive the credit at your new address. To finalize, we need to access your meter(s). If we cannot access your meter, for example if you are not home and your meter is located inside, please make sure you have arranged for someone who is at least 18 years old to meet the service technician so that he/she may read your meter. If you are not sure whether your meter is accessible, please call our Customer Service Centre at 613-546-0000.
