Description:
Hydro One had a problem at their main transformer station at Division St at John Counter Blvd. causing a loss of supply power to 3 Utilities Kingston substations. One Utilities Kingston substation automatically transferred to an alternate supply which meant only a six second outage to customers. Hydro One was able to isolate the problem and restore power to the other 2 stations after 9 minutes. All other customers in the area would have seen a heavy dip in power at the time of the outage and possibly another small dip in power when the supply was restored. All power is back on and there are no further outages expected. Hydro One is investigating the cause.
