Effective January 1, 2012, Water and Wastewater (Sewer) rates are changing. The changes, approved by City of Kingston Council, represent a 9.5% increase to current water rates, and a 5.0% increase to current wastewater rates. For a typical residential customer, with 20 cubic metres of water and wastewater usage per month, the rate changes represent an approximate $5.12 combined monthly bill increase, or about a 7% combined increase to the water/wastewater monthly bill.
