Do you rent your water heater from Utilities Kingston? You should know we’re updating the terms and conditions for our appliance rental program and are sharing them with you for comment.

Review our page Terms and ConditionsThere are some changes to help clarify both Utilities Kingston and customer responsibilities. 

We are providing a 30-day review period to get input and answer questions from our customers about the changes.

Here are some important points to remember: 

  • Utilities Kingston is responsible for providing 24-7 service and support to our appliance rental customers, and repairing or replacing malfunctioning water heaters. Get support by calling 613-546-1181, 24 hours a day. We take pride in our fast, local and reliable response. 
  • Our service advisors are available every weekday to explain our appliance rental options, terms and conditions, and provide tips on how to minimize the risk of a flood or leak damaging your home. Call 613-546-1181, extension 2285 or email serviceadvisors@utilitieskingston.com.
  • Customers are responsible for:
    • plumbing and venting, and keeping these up to code.
    • ensuring the water heater is set to the correct temperature to prevent pressure blow-outs or premature wear and tear.
    • ensuring their basements or mechanical rooms have sufficient drainage so that a leak does not damage their property.
