On December 3-4, a contractor for Utilities Kingston is conducting urgent repairs to a leaking water service on Gardiners Road at Development Drive. Crews attempted to complete the work using trenchless (no dig) technologies in order to reduce disruption to traffic. It is now necessary to excavate in the intersection of Gardiners Road and Development Drive.

The work will take place from the afternoon of December 3, into the night. Crews are making every effort to ensure the lanes are all open before the morning commute on December 4.

We are taking measures to reduce traffic disruptions during peak times:

• All southbound lanes of Gardiners Road will remain open at all times.
• Northbound Gardiners Road will require lane reductions, but at least one lane will remain open at all times. The right hand lane will be closed first, followed by the left hand lane and left hand turning lane after peak traffic times.
• The left hand turn onto Development from north bound Gardiners will be closed later in the evening.
