Natural gas rates are changing

Utilities Kingston has reviewed the rates for the natural gas commodity, transportation and storage, and cap and trade effective August 1, 2017.
Effective August 1, 2017:
- the commodity price for natural gas will increase $0.0088 per cubic metre to $0.1469 per cubic metre, and
- the transportation and storage price for natural gas will increase $0.0097 to $0.1314 per cubic metre, and
- there will be no adjustment to the current cap and trade price for natural gas.
The overall effect of the price changes will increase a typical residential bill (2300 cubic metres annually) by an estimated $42.55 annually.
