Natural Gas Rates Change Feb. 1

Your natural gas bill is made up of several parts including for the natural gas commodity, transportation, storage and delivery. Utilities Kingston has reviewed the rates for the natural gas commodity, transportation and storage effective February 1, 2015.

Effective February 1, 2015:

  • the commodity price for natural gas will decrease -$0.0189 per cubic metre to $0.1736 per cubic metre, and
  • the transportation and storage price for natural gas will increase $0.0128 per cubic metre to $0.1081 per cubic metre.

The overall effect of these price changes will decrease a typical residential bill (2,300 cubic metres annually) by an estimated -$14 annually. View more information and download natural gas rate schedules from our page on Gas Rates

Utilities Kingston reviews its natural gas commodity, storage and transportation rates quarterly on February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. The next quarterly review will be for May 1, 2015 implementation.
