Notice of study completion, master plan updates

Utilities Kingston has completed a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Master Plan Study to identify the required improvements and/or expansion to the City’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems to support existing and proposed growth within the City of Kingston Urban Area. The Master Plan is a long-term plan for system improvements to meet servicing demands to 2036.

The Study has been conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Class EA process (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015) using the Master Planning Approach #1. The Master Servicing Plan document has been finalized. This document has incorporated all comments received from the public and agencies during the course of the Study. By this Notice, the Master Plan Study is being placed on public record for a 30-day review period.

Residents, stakeholders and other interested parties may review the EA documents and provide comments to Utilities Kingston within 30 calendar days from the date of the Notice (March 21, 2017). Beginning on this date, documents can be viewed on our Master Plans web page or in person at:
