Free Tours and Children’s Activities: Join Us in the Water Conservation Garden

Save water, time and money: join us in the Utilities Kingston Water Conservation Garden for a free guided tour and learn how you can build a colourful and hardy, water wise garden. Tours take place Monday to Friday at 10:30 a.m. Families are invited to stay for free children’s activities, starting at 11:00 a.m on June 27 and running weekdays all summer. Registration is not required, but mark your calendar today! We are closed on statutory holidays.

You’re also encouraged to wander the garden at your leisure anytime during daylight hours – educational signage and plant labels will guide the way. You’ll learn ways to ‘make every rain drop count’ to greatly reduce or even eliminate the need for watering. Enjoy over 30 beautiful garden areas and a rain barrel demonstration gazebo. Children will plant a seed, decorate the flower pot and then take it home to watch their seedling grow.

Before you visit, you might check out our online database of the over 100 plants you’ll find at the garden and access helpful resources on water wise gardening practices - visit our conservation garden web pages. The garden is located at 1211 John Counter Boulevard. We hope to see you soon.
