Experience Electric Cars in Kingston

Join Utilities Kingston and Plug’n Drive at this year’s Princess Street Promenade. Test drive the latest electric cars on the market. See how much money you can save and how easy it is to go green by plugging in to Ontario’s clean electricity grid.

The event takes place on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10. a.m. to 4. p.m., at the intersection of Princess Street and Sydenham Street. Free test drives of electric cars are being offered to educate and inform visitors about what it takes to own and operate an electric car in Ontario. A fleet of electric cars will be available, including: BMW i3, Ford C-Max Energi, Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Nissan LEAF.

Plug’n Drive aims to make electric cars a reality for all Ontarians and is dedicated to creating public awareness by promoting their environmental and economic benefits. Utilities Kingston supports this initiative as part of making Kingston sustainable. We are committed to managing the Kingston Hydro infrastructure required to charge electric cars.

While there, visit Utilities Kingston‘s mobile water buggy to fill your reusable bottle with safe, quality tap water and pick up a kit to conserve water, energy and money.

EV Day Kingston is proudly supported by Ontario Trillium Foundation, in partnership with Pembina Institute and Zizzo Allan PC, with platinum sponsors Bruce Power, Eaton, Electrical Safety Authority and Power Worker’s Union.
