Crews Controlling Gas Leak

Crews Controlling Gas Leak

Update at 4:30 PM on March 19

Crews have made the necessary repairs and will begin restoring gas services at approximately 5:30 PM today. Each gas service is individually restored.  With over one hundred customers affected, it will take several hours to restore gas to all customers, and we thank you for your patience.

Customers need to be home in order for us to turn the gas meter back on and safely relight appliances. If you live in the area, please watch for a notice in your mailbox that provides further instruction, or call 613-546-1181. We're available seven days a week, 24 hours per day.

Utilities Kingston crews are controlling a gas leak on Norman Rogers Drive. A third party was conducting directional boring and hit a gas service.

Crews are on scene and have isolated the gas. Over one hundred customers are affected by the gas shut down and we are communicating directly with home owners, where available. Our certified gas technicians are monitoring the area to ensure safety.

Once the necessary repairs have been made, we will restore gas service to our customers. It is expected that all gas services will be restored late into the evening on March 19.

Customers need to be home in order for us to turn the gas meter back on and safely relight appliances. If you live in the area, please watch for a notice in your mailbox that provides further instruction. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
