Time-of-use (TOU) pricing has changed to the winter schedule. TOU rewards you for using electricity during periods when prices are lower. Shifting your regular routine (like when you do laundry) will help to ensure a reliable electrical system and save you money.
- The off-peak period for electricity use is still from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends and statutory holidays. At 6.3¢/kWh, these are the most economical times to use electricity.
- The on-peak period is 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. On-peak electricity costs 11.8¢/kWh; it is most expensive to use electricity during these times.
- Mid-peak is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and electricity costs 9.9¢/kWh.
