This program is for commercial water customers. Residential water customers can apply for a low-flush toilet rebate, starting on August 2, 2022.
In many commercial and multi-residential properties, landlords and tenants face structural barriers that make investments in water efficiency less cost effective. To help overcome these barriers, Utilities Kingston offers the following incentives:
- $30 per toilet for replacement of toilets that use 13 Litres per flush (lpf) or more with single flush toilets of 4.8 lpf flush or less or dual-flush toilets with a maximum flush volume of 6 lpf. Social housing providers can receive up to $60 per toilet.
- $30 per toilet for replacement of toilets that use 6 lpf with single flush toilets of 3 lpf. Social housing providers can receive up to $60 per toilet.
- $60 per toilet for replacement of toilets that use 13 lpf or more with single flush toilets of 3 lpf. Social housing providers can receive up to $125 per toilet.
A minimum number of toilets may be required to be eligible. To participate, please email conservation@utilitieskingston.com to confirm project eligibility and to access the application form BEFORE toilets are replaced.
A pre-project inspection and/or digital photos of the existing toilets may be required by Utilities Kingston. Once the new toilets are installed, simply submit copies of your receipts for equipment and labour. Utilities Kingston will confirm installation of the toilets and process the rebate.
