Whether you are resident or a business, take advantage of a wide range oprograms designed to improve energy efficiencyhelping you reduce your environmental footprint and address climate change.

Better Homes Kingston

The Better Homes Kingston Program actively helps you make your home more energy-efficient and climate-friendly, supporting you through every step of the process. It offers rebates and up to $50,000 in low-interest loans for your energy-efficient upgrades. You can even get 50 per cent funding upfront to pay contractors.

As a resident of Kingston, you may be eligible for a loan for home energy efficiency improvements. 

In partnership with Utilities Kingston, Better Homes Kingston is offering rebates to Utilities Kingston’s natural gas customers, in addition to loan funding.  

As a Utilities Kingston customer, you can apply for both loan funding and rebates. If you do not want loan funding, you can apply for rebates only.  

If you use natural gas to heat your home but are not a Utilities Kingston customer,  you may be eligible for Enbridge Gas rebates through the Home Renovation Savings program

Save on Energy offers a variety of energy-saving programs, as well as free tips, articles and resources for residential consumers across Ontario. Whether you want to improve your home comfort, get rewarded for being energy-efficient or save on your energy costs, there is a program for you:

  • Peak Perks: Get a $75 reward when you opt in to automated adjustments of your smart thermostat when electricity demand is high on summer weekdays.
  • Home Renovation Savings: Get rebates for energy-efficient home upgrades, including insulation, smart thermostats, heat pumps, electric appliances, windows and solar panels.
  • Energy Affordability Program: Income-qualified Ontarians can receive free energy-saving upgrades or energy-saving kits.

  • Expanded Energy Management Program: Get funding to hire and train your own energy management team to help maximize energy performance and increase competitiveness.
  • XLerate Program: Get up to $15 million for large-scale energy efficiency projects with a simple pay-for-performance model for industrial, municipal, institutional, and healthcare sectors.
