Our employees operate 3 water treatment plants, 570 kilometres of water main, 5,197water valves, 4 booster stations, 9 water storage facilities and 3,401 fire hydrants. 21 billion litres of treated water were pumped through our system in the past year.

Wastewater

We provide safe and reliable wastewater services to nearly 37,000 homes and businesses, while minimizing impact on the environment. Our employees maintain 469 kilometres of sewer main, 6,507 maintenance holes, 36 sewage pumping stations, 9 combined sewer overflow tanks, and 3 wastewater treatment plants.

We maintain a safe and reliable gas distribution system, serving 15,000 homes and businesses in central Kingston. Our employees maintain 256 kilometres of gas main, 228 kilometres of gas services, 1,403 mainline gas valves, and 9 gas pressure regulating stations.

Electricity

We provide asset management, billing and operational services to Kingston Hydro, which in turn is the Ontario Energy Board licensed distributor of electricity for 28,000 customers in central Kingston. Our employees service 5,150 poles, 1,785 transformers, 17 distribution substations, 1,413 underground structures, 104 kilometres of 5 kV underground cables, 179 kilometres of 5 kV overhead conductors, 7 km of 44 kV underground conductors, and 47 kilometres of 44 kV overhead conductors.
