We provide quality water to 40,000 homes and businesses. Our employees operate 3 water treatment plants, 587 kilometres of water main, 5,468 water valves, 5 booster stations, 8 water storage facilities and 3,583 fire hydrants. 22.5 billion litres of treated water was pumped through our system in the past year, similar to the year before.

Wastewater

We provide safe and reliable wastewater services to 39,000 homes and businesses, while minimizing impact on the environment. Our employees maintain 511 kilometres of sewer main, 6,773 maintenance holes, 29 sewage pumping stations, 9 combined sewer overflow tanks, and 3 wastewater treatment plants.

Gas

We maintain a safe and reliable gas distribution system, serving 16,000 homes and businesses in central Kingston. Our employees maintain 264 kilometres of gas main, 232 kilometres of gas services, 1,440 mainline gas valves, and 9 gas pressure regulating stations. We delivered 88 million cubic metres of natural gas in 2021.

We maintain a safe and reliable gas distribution system, serving 16,000 homes and businesses in central Kingston. Our employees maintain 264  kilometres of gas main, 232 kilometres of gas services, 1,440 mainline gas valves, and 9 gas pressure regulating stations. We provide asset management, billing and operational services to Kingston Hydro, which in turn is the Ontario Energy Board licensed distributor of electricity for 28,000 customers in central Kingston. Our employees service 5,189 poles, 1,940 transformers, 16 distribution substations, 671 underground structures, 101 kilometres of 5 kV underground cables, 180 kilometres of 5 kV overhead conductors, 7 km of 44 kV underground conductors, and 47 kilometres of 44 kV overhead conductors.
