Response to Windstorm, Nov. 1

The extreme wind storm we experienced on Friday, Nov. 1 created widespread damage to traffic signal infrastructure across the province, including here in Kingston. Our traffic signal crews worked overnight to repair damaged intersections.

Crews replaced 45 damaged traffic signal heads at 35 intersections and aligned 25 twisted traffic signal heads at 18 intersections. We also repaired one downed streetlight pole and several minor connection issues, and seven pathway lights.
